Artisans who registered with INAIL (the Italian National Institute for Insurance against Workplace Accidents) are required to calculate the INAIL premium self-assessment (Autoliquidazione) every year. The premium must be paid by 16 February each year. This mandatory insurance premium provides coverage against workplace accidents and occupational hazards.
For the calendar year in which the craft activity starts, INAIL sends the amount due to the registered PEC email address, together with the codes related to the INAIL registration number and the PIN needed to configure access to services on the official website.
For artisans who work alone (without employees), the premium is calculated based on a conventional salary set by INAIL, regardless of the actual income earned.
To access the calculation procedure, please follow these steps:
Log in by selecting "Accedi ai servizi online" (“Log in to Online Services”) section of the INAIL website using your SPID, CIE, or CNS.

Once logged in, you will be asked to specify which profile you want to access.
- If this is your first time accessing the INAIL website, you will see a message like the one shown below, which allows you to confirm that your profile is associated with your craft business.

- If you have already confirmed the association, you may select the “Legale rappresentante" ("Legal Representative”) profile and confirm.

Next, click on the “Servizi” ("Services") menu and type “Alpi online” to access the self-assessment service.

By clicking on “Vai al servizio” ("Go to service"), a new page will open, where you can calculate the premium due.

After clicking on “CALCOLA IL PREMIO” ("CALCULATE PREMIUM"), you’ll move to the first phase, which involves verifying your craft business data for the classification of the activity carried out.

The second phase is “Rateazione / Autocertificazioni" ("Installments / Self-certification”), where you can choose how to pay the premium:
- in a single payment by 16 February, or
- in 4 installments (16 February, 16 May, 20 August, and 16 November).

The option “possesso dei requisiti ex legge 296/06 art. 1 commi 780/781” should only be selected by those who have applied for the premium reduction (equal to 4.81% of the premium due), are compliant with all health and safety obligations (Legislative Decree no. 81/2008), and have not recorded any workplace accidents in the two years preceding the year of the self-assessment.
Once this phase is confirmed, you’ll move to the third phase, which provides a summary of the premium due. If you selected to pay in installments, all due dates and amounts for each installment will be shown.
