With Xolo, freelancing is just like working for a company. Don't worry about filing tax returns, filling out forms or downloading invoices for your expenses, we take care of everything, and when we say everything, we mean everything, except working for you of course.
Once you have subscribed to Xolo you will be able to enjoy:
- An online platform to manage your freelance business. Intuitive and accessible anytime, anywhere, you'll be able to issue invoices, manage business expenses and estimate how much tax you need to pay each quarter.
- Accounting service for freelancers to process your autónomo registration (if you haven't already done so), file your quarterly tax returns and advise you on everything taxation and accounting related.
Add-on options, charged separately:
- Insurance for the self-employed
- Legal advice
- Income tax return
- Autónomo registration (if you cancel your Xolo subscription during the first 6 months).
- Autónomo deregistration and pending tax reports once de-registered
Nope, not just yet!
For now, we only offer service to customers who plan to operate a freelance business and provide professional services e.g. software developers, IT experts, business consultants, marketing & sales gurus, designers, translators, etc.
We don't (yet) support businesses involved in the buying and selling of physical goods, including dropshipping and Amazon FBAs. We also can't support business activities which require an activity license in Spain. Xolo is also unable to provide support for businesses dealing with cryptocurrencies.
When you operate your freelance business using Xolo's platform, we make sure you get the taxes right the first time. We collect the input for all your Spanish tax reporting obligations seamlessly in the background. In other words, you don't have to be an expert in taxes nor do you have to spend your valuable time and energy compiling tax reports yourself — instead, you can leave it in our capable hands.
For example, if you use Xolo's invoicing tool to issue your sales invoices, our system calculates and applies the correct VAT and IRPF taxes automatically based on your input in regards to the clients and the specific project terms. Similarly, if you buy something business-related and submit the purchase invoice via your Xolo email or our online platform, we process the invoice and automatically detect whether the vendor has included the correct taxes on the invoice, and then record them on your account.
When the tax reporting period (quarter/year) is over, we take into account all your recorded business transactions (both revenues and expenses), in addition to past tax reports, and determine which tax reports are applicable to you at this time. We then compile the required tax reports ourselves and submit them on your behalf when they're due.
Your job is to provide sufficient input (sales invoices, expense docs, further details) for us in a timely manner, and make sure your bank account has sufficient funds to cover the tax payments when they come due.
In the unlikely event that there is a problem with your taxes, we take full responsibility if the error is ours. In addition, if you receive any notification from Hacienda, we will help you to respond and ensure that it is dealt with in the best possible way.
At Xolo, monthly payments are made every first day of the month, i.e. if you subscribe on October 20th, your first payment will be charged on November 1st.
